Description
Crockpot Crack Chicken is rich, creamy, and full of comforting flavor. I first made this on a hectic weeknight when I wanted something filling but didn’t have time to fuss. By dinnertime, the chicken was tender, the sauce was smooth, and everyone was ready for seconds. Cream cheese, ranch seasoning, cheddar, and smoky bacon all melt together into the kind of dinner that makes the whole house smell amazing. Whether you serve it in sandwiches, over rice, or with pasta, it’s an easy, unforgettable favorite.
Ingredients
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 packet ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 slices cooked bacon (or turkey bacon), crumbled
¼ cup chopped green onions
½ cup chicken broth (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.
2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
3. Place blocks of softened cream cheese on top.
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
5. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker.
6. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and smooth.
7. Mix in cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
8. Cover and let sit for 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
9. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.
Notes
Soften cream cheese before adding for best texture.
Use light cream cheese and cheddar for a lighter version.
Stir in broth if the mixture is too thick.
Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
Pairs well with rice, pasta, baked potatoes, or sandwich rolls.
