Description

Delicious and nostalgic homemade Twinkies filled with whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a Twinkie pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, filling each cavity about halfway.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool completely.
  8. For the filling, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  9. Once the cakes are cool, use a piping bag to fill them with the cream.
  10. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Experiment with different fillings for a fun twist!
