Description

Deliciously crispy taquitos filled with shredded chicken and cheese, perfect for snacks or meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1012 small flour tortillas
  • Cooking spray or vegetable oil for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and salsa. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the chicken mixture. Stir thoroughly to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
  4. Lay a tortilla flat and spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture along one edge. Roll the tortilla tightly from the filled edge to the other to form a taquito.
  5. Place the taquito seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  6. Lightly brush the tops of the taquitos with vegetable oil or spray them with cooking spray.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the taquitos are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with salsa, guacamole, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Best served warm with dips like salsa or guacamole. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
