Description

Delightful baked apple fritters with warm cinnamon and fresh apples, perfect for a quick breakfast or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the milk, applesauce, egg, and melted butter in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your baked apple fritters!
