- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add the cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into equal pieces (about 6-8).
- Roll each piece into a ball, then poke a hole in the center to form a bagel shape.
- Place the bagels on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or bagel seasoning if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra garlic flavor, feel free to add more minced garlic to the dough or sprinkle garlic powder on top before baking.
