Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes until smooth.
  5. Divide the dough into equal pieces (about 6-8).
  6. Roll each piece into a ball, then poke a hole in the center to form a bagel shape.
  7. Place the bagels on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or bagel seasoning if desired.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra garlic flavor, feel free to add more minced garlic to the dough or sprinkle garlic powder on top before baking.
