Description
Fluffy pancakes made from scratch with pantry staples. Soft, airy, and golden, these pancakes are easy to make and perfect for any morning.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently just until combined; small lumps are fine.
4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
5. Scoop about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto the skillet.
6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and begin to pop, then flip.
7. Cook the second side until golden brown and cooked through.
8. Serve warm with desired toppings.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the batter to keep pancakes tender.
A short 5–10 minute rest improves fluffiness.
Keep cooked pancakes warm on a wire rack in a 200°F (93°C) oven.
Freeze leftovers with parchment between pancakes for easy reheating.
