Description

These easy French Toast Sticks are soft and fluffy inside, crispy outside, and flavored with cinnamon sugar, making them perfect for breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (thick cut is best)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
  • Cooking spray or olive oil (for the air fryer)

Instructions

  1. Cut each slice of bread into 3 equal sticks.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  3. Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off.
  4. Place a piece of parchment paper in the air fryer basket and spray it lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Arrange the bread sticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Spray the top of the sticks with a little cooking spray.
  7. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until they are golden and crispy.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and a bit of cinnamon together.
  9. Once cooked, immediately roll the sticks in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Notes

Serve warm with syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruit. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days and reheat in the air fryer.
