Description

A delicious and creamy dip combining seafood and spinach, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 oz crab meat (or imitation crab, if preferred)
  • 10 oz frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Tortilla chips or crackers, for serving
  • Fresh vegetable crudités, for serving
  • Crusty baguette slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Seafood: Chop the shrimp into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. Cook the Spinach: In a pan, heat a little butter and add the thawed spinach. Sauté for a few minutes until heated through, then set aside.
  3. Make the Creamy Base: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
  4. Combine Everything: Add the chopped shrimp, crab meat, cooked spinach, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the cream mixture. Stir well until everything is fully combined.
  5. Bake the Dip (Optional): Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes, or until it’s bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips, crackers, fresh vegetable crudités, or baguette slices.

Notes

Ensure the spinach is well-drained to avoid excess moisture in the dip. For extra flavor, consider adding herbs or spices.
