Description

Soft and crusty ciabatta rolls perfect for sandwiches or as a side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 packet Instant yeast
  • 1 cup Water (Room temperature)
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the instant yeast with room temperature water. Stir to combine.
  2. Add all-purpose flour and salt to the water mixture. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel. Let the dough rise for about 60 minutes or until it doubles in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) while the dough rises.
  5. Dust a clean surface with flour. Gently turn out the risen dough onto the surface. Use floured hands to shape the dough into small rolls.
  6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let them rest for another 30 minutes to rise slightly.
  7. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. For extra flavor, consider adding herbs, cheese, or olives to the dough.
