- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- Oil for frying
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add the milk mixture, eggs, and melted butter to the flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then let it rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough, cut it into circles, and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the donuts until golden brown.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Fill the cooled donuts with whipped cream.
- Dust the filled donuts with powdered sugar and enjoy!
