Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • Oil for frying
  • Extra powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Add the milk mixture, eggs, and melted butter to the flour and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then let it rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough, cut it into circles, and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the donuts until golden brown.
  7. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  8. Fill the cooled donuts with whipped cream.
  9. Dust the filled donuts with powdered sugar and enjoy!
