Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. Make brownie batter: Whisk butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined.
3. Make cookie dough: Cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
4. Spread brownie batter in the pan. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top and gently press in.
5. Bake 25–30 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft. Cool before cutting into squares.

Let brookies cool completely before cutting for clean edges.
