Description
A quick and delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with rich garlic flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup Butter (or olive oil for a lighter option)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or fresh minced garlic for a robust taste)
- 1 tablespoon Dried Parsley (or fresh parsley if available)
- 4 slices Bread (sturdy bread like sourdough recommended)
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese Blend (or Swiss, gouda, or provolone)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Mix well until smooth.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Add a generous amount of shredded cheese on top. Place another slice of bread, butter side up, on top of the cheese.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom slice is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Cut it in half and serve warm.
Notes
Pairs well with tomato soup or a side salad. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days.
