Description

A quick and delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with rich garlic flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Butter (or olive oil for a lighter option)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or fresh minced garlic for a robust taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Parsley (or fresh parsley if available)
  • 4 slices Bread (sturdy bread like sourdough recommended)
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese Blend (or Swiss, gouda, or provolone)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Add a generous amount of shredded cheese on top. Place another slice of bread, butter side up, on top of the cheese.
  4. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom slice is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
  5. Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Cut it in half and serve warm.

Notes

Pairs well with tomato soup or a side salad. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days.
