- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- On a sheet of parchment paper, spread the beef mixture into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the surface of the beef.
- Carefully roll the beef from one end to the other, using the paper to help guide the roll.
- Place the roll seam side down on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
