Ingredients

- 1 cup cooked lentils
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon (for tahini dip)
- 1/4 cup tahini
- Water as needed
Instructions
- Combine cooked lentils, breadcrumbs, grated carrot, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Mix well until everything is combined.
- Form the mixture into small patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Mix tahini and lemon juice together in a bowl, adding water to reach desired consistency for the dip.
- Serve lentil patties warm with the lemon tahini dip on the side.
Notes
These patties are freezer-friendly. Store in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
