- 8 large egg whites
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt or fat-free cottage cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form, about 5–7 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, blend the Greek yogurt or cottage cheese with the sea salt until smooth.
- Gently fold the yogurt mixture into the whipped egg whites, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden and set in the middle.
- Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Make sure your egg whites are at room temperature for better volume. You can experiment with different spices or herbs for added flavor.
