Description

A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring sharp cheddar and juicy blueberries for a sweet and savory experience.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough, white, or whole grain)
  • 2 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • Butter, for grilling
  • Honey or maple syrup, for drizzling (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, into the skillet. Add one slice of cheese, scatter blueberries over the top, then add the second slice of cheese. Finish with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  4. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown and crisp.
  5. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 3–4 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and the bread is toasted.
  6. Remove from the skillet, drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired, season with salt and pepper, slice, and enjoy while warm.

Notes

Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor and texture. Keep heat at medium for even melting of cheese.
