Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup peeled and diced apples
  • Additional butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Mix buttermilk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; fold in the diced apples.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a little butter or oil.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
  7. Serve warm with syrup, if desired.
