Description

A quick and satisfying one-dish meal featuring tender steaks, sliced potatoes, and rich garlic butter topped with melted cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 large steaks (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons garlic butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, sear the steaks over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and let rest.
  4. In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes and drizzle with garlic butter, tossing to coat.
  5. Layer the seared steaks on top of the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired before serving.
