A delicious twist on classic grilled cheese, featuring melted cheese and fragrant pesto sauce between crispy sourdough bread.

- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons pesto sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side, spread pesto sauce.
- Add cheese on top of the pesto and cover with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook in the skillet until golden brown and the cheese melts, flipping halfway through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, slice, and serve warm.

Use fresh or homemade pesto for the best flavor and try adding extras like sliced tomatoes or spinach for added nutrition.
