Description

A fun twist on traditional tacos and burgers, combining juicy flavors in a handheld format perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 flour tortillas (6 inches)
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
  • 4 slices American cheese (or preferred cheese)
  • Fresh toppings: diced onion, dill pickle chips, shredded iceberg lettuce
  • Homemade sauce: mayonnaise, pickle relish, Dijon mustard, sugar, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Portion the ground beef into 4 equal amounts and place one portion on each tortilla.
  2. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and coat it lightly with oil.
  4. Cook the tortilla with the meat-side down for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Then, flip the tortilla and top it with cheese. Cook for another 1-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  5. Remove from heat and repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Assemble the tacos by spreading the sauce on each taco and topping with lettuce, onions, and pickles before serving.

Notes

Use a hot skillet for crispy tortillas. Mix different cheeses for added flavor. Add jalapeños for a spicy twist.
