Ingredients

- 4 flour tortillas (6 inches)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
- 4 slices American cheese (or preferred cheese)
- Fresh toppings: diced onion, dill pickle chips, shredded iceberg lettuce
- Homemade sauce: mayonnaise, pickle relish, Dijon mustard, sugar, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder
Instructions
- Portion the ground beef into 4 equal amounts and place one portion on each tortilla.
- Season the beef with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and coat it lightly with oil.
- Cook the tortilla with the meat-side down for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Then, flip the tortilla and top it with cheese. Cook for another 1-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Remove from heat and repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- Assemble the tacos by spreading the sauce on each taco and topping with lettuce, onions, and pickles before serving.
Notes
Use a hot skillet for crispy tortillas. Mix different cheeses for added flavor. Add jalapeños for a spicy twist.
