Description

This homemade chicken taco seasoning is perfect for juicy, flavorful tacos. No store-bought packets needed—just real spices from your pantry.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Juice of 1 lime (for marinade)

2 tbsp olive oil (for marinade)

Instructions

1. Mix all dry spices in a bowl to create the seasoning blend.

2. For dry seasoning, coat 1 lb of chicken in olive oil and toss with the blend.

3. For a marinade, combine lime juice, olive oil, and 1 tbsp of the blend.

4. Let marinate for 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the cut.

5. Grill, sauté, or bake chicken until fully cooked and juicy.

6. Slice, shred, or chop and serve in tacos, salads, or bowls.

Notes

This recipe works for breasts, thighs, or ground chicken.

Use less salt if serving with salty toppings like cheese or dressing.

Double or triple the blend and store in a jar for future taco nights.
